At the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism of Cuba and the Ministry of Tourism of Honduras, and with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Dai Bin, President of the China Tourism Research Institute, led a delegation to Havana from April 28 to May 6, 2025 to participate in the 43rd Cuba International Tourism Expo. They arrived in Honduras to have discussions and exchanges with the country's tourism authorities, industry organizations, and market entities.

At the Cuba International Tourism Expo, Dai Bin delivered a keynote speech titled 'Cuba will become a model for China Caribbean tourism cooperation'. Thanks to the guidance of the two heads of state, China Cuba economic and trade cooperation, as well as cultural exchanges, have remained stable and far-reaching. Data shows that bilateral tourism exchanges between China and Cuba have maintained a stable growth trend, and Cuba has played a key role in China Canada tourism exchanges. It is suggested to cultivate Cuba as the hub of China Caribbean aviation and the first stop country for Chinese tourists to travel to the Caribbean. Cuba should play a coordinating and leading role, establish a joint promotion mechanism for the Caribbean region in the Chinese market, jointly develop multi destination Caribbean tourism routes, and develop Sino Caribbean tourism cooperation into a model of China Caribbean tourism cooperation and a key pivot for tourism exchanges between China and Latin America.

During their stay in Cuba and Honduras, the delegation also conducted on-site inspections of local cultural and tourism resources, as well as representative tourism enterprises.
